Congress forms Core-Group, Manifesto and Publicity committees for forthcoming 2019 Lok Sabha polls

Congress' Core Group committee comprises of senior leaders like P.Chidambaram and Ghulam Nabi Azad.

New Delhi: Congress has pulled up its sock for the forthcoming 2019 Lok Sabha elections; with party President Rahul Gandhi constituting a 9-member Core Group Committee which will be take care of the major preparations of the polls. The committee which was constituted on Saturday includes majorly senior leaders of the party namely former Finance Minister P.Chidambaram, Ghulam Nabi Azad former Defence Minister AK Antony, Ashok Gehlot, Ahmed Patel, Jairam Ramesh, Randeep Surjewala and KC Venugopal. The party also constituted a 19-member Manifesto Committee which includes leaders like Salman Khurshid and Shashi Tharoor and a 13 member Publicity Committee which comprises of party spokespersons including Randeep Surjewala and Manish Tiwari.
