The speculations of Shiv Sena forming an alliance with the BJP slowly started making it to the rumor mills. Prompting Shiv Sena President and Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray to end the speculation of Shiv Sena joining hands with BJP.

Putting an end to such conversations, CM Thackeray said: "I am sitting with Ajit Pawar and Balasaheb Thorat even today. I'm not going anywhere."

NCP leader Ajit Pawar and former Maharashtra Congress President Balasaheb Thorat are ministers in the current Maharashtra coalition government.

The statements of senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut and former Maharashtra CM Devendra Fadnavis fuelled many discussions.

Sanjay Raut recently compared the relationship between BJP and Shiv Sena to that of film actor Aamir Khan and his ex-wife Kiran Rao. He said that the friendship between Shiv Sena and BJP will remain intact like Aamir Khan and Kiran Rao. He said both the parties have chosen different paths but are friends.

Meanwhile, former Maha CM and BJP leader Devendra Fadnavis said that there may be some differences with Shiv Sena, but there is no animosity amongst the parties. He said that there are "no ifs and buts" in politics.

When asked whether there was a possibility of the two former colleagues coming together again, Fadnavis had said that an "appropriate decision" would be taken depending on the situation.
