Significantly, earlier this year, due to the huge increase in the cases of Covid - 19, the health services of the country were seen to be completely faltering. There was a severe shortage of beds, medicines and vaccines in hospitals across the country.

The lack of medical oxygen made the situation worse. In such a difficult situation, India had to import oxygen from many countries, on the basis of an emergency. Many Covid patients died due to lack of oxygen.
