Caught on camera: College student stabbed to death in broad daylight in Surat

In a gruesome incident, a 19-year-old student was stabbed to death by three unidentified bike-borne youths in Udhna area of Surat in Gujarat.

AHMEDABAD: In a gruesome incident, a 19-year-old student was stabbed to death by three unidentified bike-borne youths in Udhna area of Surat in Gujarat. The daylight murder, which has sent shock waves in the area, was captured on CCTV camera. The boy was identified as Samadhan Pawar, a resident of Udhna. The video showed Pawar talking over phone while he was on his scooter on the roadside. Suddenly, three people came on a motorcycle and started talking to him. Later, an argument seems to have taken place between the assailants and Pawar, following which two of them attacked the teenager with sharp-edged weapons. Attacked multiple times, Pawar fell on the road from his two-wheeler and the attackers fled the spot. According to reports, Pawar was doing a part-time job to support his family. The Police have launched a probe into the murder and are examining the CCTV footage to establish the identity of the assailants.
