IMD Issues Yellow Alert In Delhi-NCR
The IMD has issued a yellow alert for Saturday in Delhi-NCR, cautioning people about moderate rain at most places in Delhi while heavy rains are expected at a couple of locations.
Classes up till 8 will remain suspended in all government and private schools in Noida and Greater Noida due to rains, the Gautam Buddh Nagar district administration announced on Friday.
Incessant rains lashed parts of the national capital for the third consecutive day on Friday, bringing down the maximum temperature to 27.6 degrees Celsius -- seven notches below normal.
Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 22.4 degrees Celsius, a notch below normal. The relative humidity oscillated between 100 per cent and 95 per cent, the IMD said.
Traffic jams were reported at several key stretches in the national capital due to waterlogging caused by rains.
No Change Of Guard Ceremony On Saturday: Rashtrapati Bhavan
There will be no change of guard ceremony at the forecourt of the Rashtrapati Bhavan on September 24 due to inclement weather, according to an official communique issued on Friday.
"The change of guard ceremony which takes place every Saturday at the forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan will not to be held tomorrow (September 24, 2022) due to inclement weather conditions," said the communique issued by the Rashtrapati Bhavan.

Veteran Indian fast bowler Jhulan Goswami is all set to retire from international cricket at the Lord's, after the third and final ODI on England tour on September 24. The 39-year-old pacer will leave the game as the highest wicket-taker in women's internationals, with 352 wickets across formats.
Jhulan began her international career as a 19-year-old in March 2002. Over the course of two decades, she played 12 Tests, 68 T20 internationals and 201 ODIs and holds the record for the most wickets in ODIs -- 252 -- and has featured in six 50-over World Cups.
