Bihar Election 2020: 55.22% Voter Turnout In Phase 3 Polling Amid Covid-19 Pandemic; Check District Wise Polling Percentage

The third and final phase of the Bihar Assembly Elections in the remaining 78 assembly segments concluded on Saturday, November 7 with the maximum turnout of 54.17 per cent voting amid the coronavirus outbreak.

ABP News-CVoter Exit Poll Today; Here's When & Where To Watch The assembly constituencies that went to the polls in the third leg of the voting includes West Champaran, East Champaran, Sitamarhi, Madhubani, Supaul, Araria, Kishanganj, Katihar, Madhepura, Saharsa, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Vaishali and Samastipur. Bihar Assembly speaker Vijay Kumar Chaudhary,  along with state ministers Bijendra Prasad Yadav, Narendra Narayan Yadav, Maheshwar Hazari, Ramesh Rishidev, Firoz Ahmed, Lakshmeshwar Roy, Bima Bharti Pramod Kumar, Suresh Sharma, Binod Narayan Jha, Madan Sahni and Krishnakumar Rishi were in the fray for today's political contest. Bihar Election 2020: 55.22% Voter Turnout In Phase 3 Polling Amid Covid-19 Pandemic; Check District Wise Polling Percentage According to the Election Commission, the poll percentage at 1 pm was 34.82, and it further shoot up to 45.85 per cent by 3 PM. Districts such as Araria, Darbhanga, Katihar, Samastipur recorded about 52 per cent voter turnout while Kishanganj recorded the highest - 59.99 voting percentage.

The firing incident was triggered after heated arguments between villagers and security forces who allegedly beat up voters for breaking a queue at booth number 282, said a New Indian Express report. There has been no official statement on the matter yet. One person has reportedly died in the incident, Prabhat Khabar reported.
