Bihar: 13 People Attacked With Acid For Objecting To Eve-Teasing

Police said thirteen people suffered acid injuries out which three are women.

Hajipur (Bihar): At least 13 members of Daudnagar village were injured after a group of men attacked them with acid on Monday. Reports say the goons belonging to a different caste had misbehaved with a girl couple of days ago, following which the village panchayat called for a meeting and  took a stern view of the incident. Enraged over being summoned by the panchayat, the miscreants decided to teach the girl’s family a lesson and brutally attacked them with acid. Police said thirteen people suffered acid injuries out which three are women. Reports say some of the attackers also suffered acid burns. All the injured persons have been admitted to a hospital. The matter is being investigated.
