Bengaluru: RBI official arrested for 'converting' black money into white

New Delhi: Another money seizure case has come to light, this time from the city of Mysuru, where a RBI official has been arrested on the charges of converting huge sum of black money into white.
  • A senior special assistant in Bengaluru’s RBI office has been accused of converting black money into white, without following any RBI guidelines. He has been arrested by CBI along with another SBI Mysuru branch official
 
  • The total amount of black money that has been converted into white is Rs1,51,24,000, which is one Crore, fifty one Lakh and twenty four thousand rupees
 
  • The conversion and transactions were being done via State Bank of Mysuru
 
  • Several RBI guidelines were being ignored by the State Bank officials white conversion of the money was being done
