Ram Temple Inauguration: After the consecration ceremony took place at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, reactions poured in from political leaders across party lines. The consecration of the much-anticipated Ram temple took place on Monday in Ayodhya. Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath termed the 'Pran Pratishtha' ceremony as an emotional moment for the country after a 500-year wait.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee took a swipe at the Bharatiya Janata Party and said that the saffron party talks only about Lord Ram and not about Goddess Sita as the party is anti-women.

"I have nothing against those worshipping Lord Ram, but I object to interference with food habits of people," she said.

Speaking on the consecration ceremony at the Ram Temple, Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that this nation belongs to all people and all sections of Indian society. “This nation belongs to all people and all sections of the Indian society. Everyone is equally entitled to the right to freely practice and propagate religion,” says Kerala CM @pinarayivijayan on Ram Mandir Pran Pratishtha ceremony held earlier today," Vijayan said.

Congress took a dig at the BJP and said that on the one hand, they claim to be Rambhakt, and on the other hand, they don’t follow the hypothesis of Lord Ram. “On one hand, they (BJP) claim to be Ram bhakt and on the other hand, they don’t follow the hypothesis of Lord Ram and attack a peaceful protest,” Delhi Congress president Arvinder Singh Lovely said. Notably, the grand old party is planning to hold a mega poll rally on February 3 at Ramlila Maidan in Delhi.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said, "Lord Ram is the culture of our country. We did not get the invitation for Ram Temple's 'pranpratishtha'...We have expressed our faith by lighting diyas."

Famous Personalities from different fields were in attendance at the consecration ceremony. Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachchan, business tycoons Mukesh Ambani and Gautam Adani, and cricketing icon Sachin Tendulkar are among the personalities who attended the ceremony held on Monday.

The grand Ram temple, built in the traditional Nagara style, stands 380 feet long, 250 feet wide, and 161 feet high. The three-storeyed structure, with 392 pillars and 44 gates, will eventually be open to the public.

Security measures were comprehensive, with police personnel deployed across the city. Movable barriers with barbed wires regulated traffic, and multiple NDRF teams were prepared for various emergencies. Health arrangements were also in place to handle potential health crises.

A multi-layer security cover was put in place for the consecration ceremony with 10,000 CCTVs keeping an eye on the movement of people and police personnel in plain clothes deployed at the venue.
