Asaduddin Owaisi's Delhi House Vandalised By 'Unknown Miscreants', Asks 'MPs' Safety Guaranteed Or Not'

Asaduddin Owaisi said that the Delhi Police expressed helplessness and attacked Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the issue.

AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Thursday said some "unknown miscreants" vandalised his house in Delhi with black ink.

In a post on X, the Hyderabad MP said, "Some “unknown miscreants” vandalised my house with black ink today. I have now lost count the number of times my Delhi residence has targeted."

The AIMIM chief said that the Delhi Police expressed helplessness over the issue and attacked Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the safety negligence.

"When I asked @DelhiPolice officials how this was happening right under their nose, they expressed helplessness. @AmitShah this is happening under your oversight. @ombirlakota, please tell us if MPs’ safety will be guaranteed or not," Owaisi said.

"To the two-bit goons who keep targeting my house: this does not scare me. Stop this Savarkar-type cowardly behaviour and be men enough to face me. Do not scurry away after throwing some ink or pelting a few stones," he added.

Earlier on Tuesday, the AIMIM president took oath as a member of the 18th Lok Sabha and concluded his oath by hailing a conflict-hit West Asian region along with the words: "Jai Bhim, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana".

His remark has led to an uproar in the house after which the Chair expunged the part of speech. Radha Mohan Singh, who was in the Chair at the time, assured the members that anything apart from the oath won’t go on record.

Owaisi has been elected from the Hyderabad seat for his fifth term by defeating BJP's Madhavi Latha in the recently conducted Lok Sabha Elections.

In August last year, Asaduddin Owaisi had alleged that stones were hurled at his official residence in Delhi. A video of the incident was shared on the social media which showed shattered window glasses at Asaduddin Owaisi’s residence in Delhi.

In February the same year, his house was attacked with stones by unidentified miscreants. Police had said that a few windows were damaged in the stone pelting but nobody was hurt.
