Anu Kumari: Six things to know about 2017 UPSC Civil Services 2nd topper

The prestigious civil services 2017 examination results were declared on Friday by the Union Public Service Commission.

NEW DELHI: The Union Public Service Commission on Friday declared the results of Civil Services Exam 2017 and Anu Kumari is feeling like being "on the top of the word" after securing the second position in the coveted examination. A total of 990 candidates -- 750 men and 240 women -- have been recommended by the Commission for appointment to various central government services.
  • Anu Kumari is from Sonipat, Haryana.
  • Anu has graduated with BSc (Hons) in Physics from the Delhi University
  • She has done an MBA (Finance and Marketing) from IMT, Nagpur.
  • She studied for 10-12 hours daily to clear the UPSC examinations.
  • Anu is married and has a four-year-old child
  • She has also worked for nine years in the private sector.
The top 25 candidates comprised 17 men and eight women.
