The viral video was claimed to be from Jharkhand's Hazaribagh and garnered a lot of attention on social media with netizens speculating the creature to be an alien or a ghost.

Ranchi: A video was recently being shared widely on social media where a seemingly bizarre creature was spotted in Jharkhand.

The "alien" figure was reportedly seen walking down the Chadwa Dam bridge in the dark.

In the purported 30-second video, several passersby can be seen commenting on the look of this strange creature. Vehicles stop to see the odd white figure passing on the highway at night.

The incident was claimed to have taken place in Jharkhand's Hazaribagh and garnered a lot of attention with netizens speculating the creature to be an alien or a ghost.

However, the truth seems to have been unveiled as reportedly there is nothing supernatural in the video.

A local news channel, Jan Doot News, interviewed the two men Deepak and Biswajeet who were on the bike and had shot the video. They confirmed that the figure was actually a woman walking naked.

They revealed that the 30-second video that went viral is actually taken from their WhatsApp status and the original clip they shot was about 1:30 minutes long.

Deepak said that he and his friend were on their way to Seraikela when they spotted the strange woman. Initially, they got scared but they returned sometime later to see what it was and it turned out to be a naked woman who was walking on the road.

He further clarified that the video was not shot in Hazaribagh, as claimed widely early on, but in Seraikela - which is in Jharkhand's Kharsawan district.

The incident took place on April 27, they informed Alt News

Why the woman was walking naked on the road is still not clear. Meanwhile, as reported by the fact-checker portal, Seraikela sub-inspector Mohammad Noushad has said that the matter is under investigation.
