A team of 9 people worked for the construction of the statue of Sri Adi Shankaracharya and the work of making the idol started in September 2020 and continued for almost a year, in September this year the idol was taken from Mysore to Uttarakhand by Chinook helicopter. Have been taken. The idol was made from Krishna Shila (Black Stone).

Selection of a single rock of 130 tons

A single rock of about 130 tonnes was selected for the construction of the statue of Adi Shankaracharya. After carving and cutting the rock, the weight of the statue remained about 35 tonnes. The height of the statue of Adi Shankaracharya is about 12 feet, during the construction of the statue, a lot of coconut water was used on the rock so that the surface of the statue is shiny and also represents the "brightness" of Adi Shankaracharya.

The black stone will not be affected by fire, water, rain, wind, that is, a rock capable of withstanding any weather has been selected for the statue of Adi Shankaracharya.
