ABP Opinion Poll: Who Benefits From Mamata's Nandigram Injury, TMC Or BJP? Here's What People Think

ABP News held an exclusive C-Voter survey to find out who do people believe as CM Mamata Banerjee and Opposition come face to face again over the alleged attack on her.

West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has been in the headlines over the upcoming assembly elections but the situation in the poll-bound state became even more dramatic as the CM was allegedly manhandled on Wednesday and sustained a leg injury with post-traumatic symptoms reported.

Meanwhile, ever since the incident surfaced, the political implications of it have been debated heavily. How will this change the game for political parties in the fray for upcoming elections? Well, ABP News held an exclusive C-Voter survey to find just that.

CM Mamata Attacked Or Sympathy?

While CM Mamata Banerjee claims that she was attacked under a conspiracy, opposition parties maintain that she is trying to gain sympathy. People were asked whose claim do they believe.

In the ABP-C Voter overall respondents trust CM Mamata at 44.2%, followed by those who believe that the opposition's claim is true at 39.2% and those who are not certain were at 6.6%.

The majority of BJP supporters (63%) said that they believe the opposition. 22.8% stated that they believe CM Mamata while 14.2% said that they were unsure about who to believe.

Among Congress (47.6%) and TMC supporters (67.2%), a majority believed CM Mamata Banerjee’s allegations.

31% Congress supporters and 17.2% TMC supporters said they believe the Opposition’s claims while 21.4% and 15.6% in the respective sections stated they were unsure.

As for those supporting the Left parties and others, more people believed the opposition’s claims (46.4 % and 37.3% respectively) and as opposed to Mamata Banerjee’s (30.4% and 27.5% respectively).

CBI Probe & Who Seems To Benefit The Most

BJP raised the demand of a CBI probe into the matter for unveiling the truth and most people have agreed with the idea of such an investigation (49.2%) followed by those who don’t (29.2%) and those who are unclear (21.6%). Interestingly, a lot of TMC supporters agree with this demand (56.2%), more so than BJP’s supporters (45.1%).

Who Benefits From Nandigram Incident?

The hot question currently is who will reap benefit from the Nandigram incident. As per the ABP- C Voter Survey most respondents think it is TMC (44.1%), followed by those feeling it be BJP (34.1%) and then Left - Congress - ISF coalition (12.2%). 9.6% said they were unsure.
