ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Is BJP's Strategy To Field MPs In State Elections A Masterstroke? Here's What Voters Think

ABP-CVoter Snap Poll: Voters were asked about their perceptions of the ticket distribution strategy of the BJP, specifically concerning the fielding of Members of Parliament (MPs) in the assembly elections.

In the run-up to the highly anticipated assembly polls in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Telangana, and Mizoram, voters' sentiments have taken center stage as ABP News, in collaboration with CVoter, released findings from a snap poll aimed at uncovering the mood of the electorate. With polling slated to begin on November 7 and continue until November 30, all eyes are on the political landscape in these five states. The voting process is planned to occur in a single phase in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Telangana, and Mizoram, while Chhattisgarh will witness voting in two phases.

The snap poll data delves into several critical questions to gauge public opinion in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, and Chhattisgarh, offering insight into voter attitudes and expectations.

Is BJP's Strategy To Field MPs In Polls A Masterstroke?

Voters were asked about their perceptions of the ticket distribution strategy of the BJP, specifically concerning the fielding of Members of Parliament (MPs) in the assembly elections.

In Rajasthan, opinions were rather divided. A substantial 49.4% of total respondents endorsed this approach, while 39.3% of respondents disagreed and 11.2% said they were uncertain. 62.4% of BJP supporters and 40.0% of Congress supporters deemed this strategy as a masterstroke or a very good move.

Similarly, Madhya Pradesh exhibited a parallel pattern. Here, 547.8% of the overall respondents perceived this strategy as a masterstroke or very good. On the other hand, 47.9% of overall voters disagreed while 10.5% of respondents did not express a clear opinion. 57.9% of BJP supporters, and 22.8% of Congress supporters said they favoured the strategy

Chhattisgarh, on the other hand, displayed the highest level of support for this strategy. 41.6% of the overall respondents saw it as a masterstroke or a very good strategy. However, 40% expressed disagreement while 14.2% remained uncertain. 65.7% of BJP supporters and 32.8% of Congress supporters endorsed this move.

Fielding MPs, Will BJP Suffer Loss Due To Internal Rebellion In Rajasthan?

When asked whether the BJP will suffer any losses in Rajasthan stemming from rebellion against fielding MPs in the elections, in total, 44% of all respondents from the poll-bound state felt that the party would endure significant losses, among them 33% were BJP supporters. Overall, 23.4% believed that the BJP would sustain some loss, 29.6% said that the saffron party would not suffer such consequences, and 3% said they were unsure.

Will BJP Address Anti-Incumbency In MP By Making MPs Contest Polls?

The poll also aimed to evaluate whether the BJP's decision to field MPs in the elections in Madhya Pradesh was seen as a solution to anti-incumbency. In this regard, 45.5% of BJP supporters, 36.1% of Congress supporters, and 39.0% of all respondents perceived this as a viable solution. On the contrary, 27.3% of BJP supporters, 45.2% of Congress supporters, and 35.8% of overall voters disagreed with the view.

Interestingly, 14.1% of BJP supporters said that there is no anti-incumbency, 2.9% of Congress supporters also held this view, and 9.8% of total respondents agreed to this notion.

Additionally, 15.4% of total respondents did not express a clear perspective on this matter.

 As the polling dates approach, these insights are anticipated to continue shaping the strategies and narratives of political parties in the weeks to come.
