Honda Launches Aviator And Activa i With LED Headlamps

Both scooters now come updated with features to keep up with their competition

Honda has announced the launch of the 2018 Aviator, which comes with LED headlamp and position lamp. Additionally, the scooter also gets 4-in-1 lock with seat opener switch, metal muffler protector and front underseat retractable hook.

Powering the Honda Aviator is a BS-IV complaint, 109.19cc, single-cylinder motor that produces 8PS of power at 7000rpm and a peak torque of 8.94Nm at 5500rpm.

The Aviator uses an underbone type chassis with telescopic forks up front and a monoshock at the rear. Braking duties are handled by 130mm drum brakes at both ends or an optional 190mm disc brake in the front. Its five-spoke alloys are shod with 90/90 and 90/100 section tyres at the front and rear respectively.

For 2018, the Aviator will be offered in an assortment of four colours – Black, Silver, White and the most recent addition, the Pearl Spartan Red, which replaces Rebel Red Metallic. The scooter comes in three variants, namely standard, alloy drum & alloy disc. At a price of Rs 55,157, the Honda Aviator competes with the likes of the TVS Jupiter ZX (Rs 54,111), TVS Wego (Rs 50,802), Hero Maestro Edge (Rs 51,300) and Yamaha’s Facino (Rs 54,593, all ex-showroom Delhi)
