Breaking News LIVE, November 3, 2021: Hello and Welcome to ABP News LIVE Blog! After completing his trip to Glasgow in Scotland, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will be holding a virtual review meeting with districts having low COVID-19 vaccination coverage on Wednesday at 12 noon.
“PM will interact with District Magistrates of over 40 districts in Jharkhand, Manipur, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh, Maharashtra, Meghalaya, & other States with districts having low vaccination coverage. CMs of these States will also be present in the meeting tomorrow," PMO further stated.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met Microsoft co-founder and billionaire philanthropist Bill Gates on the sidelines of the climate summit here and had "excellent" discussions on ways to further sustainable development, steps to mitigate climate change and promote vaccine research.
The meeting between Modi and the American business magnate, whose foundation is focusing on fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, took place after the former launched the Initiative for the Resilient Island States (IRIS) for developing infrastructure of small island nations.
"Had an excellent meeting with @BillGates at the @COP26 Summit. We discussed a wide range of subjects including ways to strengthen global efforts towards overcoming climate change," Modi tweeted.
Earlier, Gates wrote that he was encouraged to discuss with Prime Minister Modi the potential of more investments in sectors like science, innovation.
On the occasion of Deepotsav, The Uttar Pradesh government will here light 12 lakh earthen lamps, nine lakh of which will be lit on the banks of the Saryu, bettering the previous Diwali record.
Last year, over six lakh earthen lamps were lit during the "Deepotsav" to celebrate the festival, creating a world record.
According to government statement, the staging of Ram Lilas, a 3D holographic display, laser show and fireworks will be part of the five-day-long celebrations, beginning Monday.
Nine lakh lamps will be lit on the banks of the river with the rest three lakh in parts of the town on November 3 from 6 pm to 6.30 pm, it said.
