75 Modi Ministers To Perform Yoga At 75 Historical Places
At least 75 ministers of Prime Minister Narendra Modi-led government will perform yoga at 75 historical and cultural sites in the country on the International Yoga Day this year, ANI reported. “As many as 75 ministers have been designated to participate in the Yoga programs at 75 historical and cultural places to mark the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav that is being celebrated across the country,” the news agency quoted sources as saying.
Prime Minister Modi will perform yoga at Karnataka’s Mysore Palace on the eighth International Yoga Day, which will be celebrated on June 21.
Service Chiefs To Meet PM Tuesday, Likely To Brief Agnipath Scheme
Amid the protests in many states of the country against the 'Agnipath' scheme, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet the chiefs of the three services. A day earlier, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh had met the three army chiefs. The news agency ANI has given this information by quoting government sources. Earlier on Monday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that decisions and reforms may be temporarily unpleasant, but with time the country will feel their benefits.
Keeping in mind the future of Agniveers, the government also made many major changes in the plan. Amidst the opposition to the scheme, the government has issued a notification for the first recruitment of Agnipaths.
The central government implemented the Agneepath scheme on June 14 last week. Since the implementation of the scheme, till now there is a protest from students and politicians regarding this.
