Watch: Cars swept away in raging Ganga as Haridwar faces weather's wrath | Haridwar (Uttarakhand), June 29 (ANI): Heavy rains wreaked chaos in Uttarakhand's Haridwar, as numerous vehicles were spotted floating amid rising water levels in river Ganga. Police officials were seen making announcements urging citizens not to venture into the river. Around eight vehicles were washed away in the river Ganga following a flash flood. One of the owners whose vehicle got submerged said that it was a heavy downpour and the vehicle swept away. IMD has previously issued a warning noting thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and heavy periods of rain.
