President Ram Nath Kovind, who is also the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, will be reviewing the Naval Fleet comprising over 60 ships and submarines, and 55 aircraft at Andhra Pradesh's Visakhapatnam on Monday. As per an official statement from the Ministry of Defence, the President's Fleet Review, an awe-inspiring and much-awaited event, will be conducted at Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh on Monday.
This will be the twelfth Fleet Review and has a special significance that it is being conducted on the occasion of the 75th anniversary of India's Independence being celebrated as 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav' across the Nation.
A 26-year-old Bajrang Dal activist Harsha was allegedly murdered on Sunday at around 9 pm in Karnataka's Shivamogga. Security has been tightened in the city following the activist's death. Meanwhile, some miscreants burnt several vehicles in the Seegehatti area in Shivamogga city.
A fire brigade team reached the spot to douse the fire.
US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin have agreed on the principle of a summit proposed by France President Emmanuel Macron to discuss security and strategic stability in Europe, Elysee Palace said. The development came after Macron held telephonic calls with Putin twice in the day and also spoke with Biden on the Ukraine situation.
According to a release by Elysee on Sunday, President Macron "proposed a summit to be held between President Biden and President Putin and then with relevant stakeholders to discuss security and strategic stability in Europe."
Biden and Putin have both accepted the principle of such a summit, read the statement. The statement further said that the substance of such a summit will have to be prepared by US Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov during their meeting on February 24.
However, it can only be held on the condition that Russia does not invade Ukraine, the statement said further.

Delhi reports 360 Covid cases, 4 fatalities; positivity rate drops below 1 pc
New Delhi, Feb 21 (PTI) Delhi on Monday reported 360 coronavirus cases and four fatalities, while the positivity rate dropped below one per cent for the first time since December 28 last year, according to data shared by the health department.
Out of these 360 cases, 86 pertain to earlier weeks that were added on the ICMR portal on Sunday, the department said.
The number of tests conducted a day ago stood at 38,136, while 706 patients were discharged in a span of 24 hours, the bulletin said.
The national capital's case tally now stands at 18,56,5117, and the death toll is at 26,105, it stated.
Delhi on Sunday reported 570 cases with a positivity rate of 1.04 per cent and four fatalities. On Saturday, it had logged 635 COVID-19 cases and two deaths, while the positivity rate was at 1.13 per cent.
The number of daily cases in Delhi has been on a decline after touching the record high of 28,867 on January 13.
The city had recorded a positivity rate of 30.6 per cent on January 14, the highest during the ongoing wave of the pandemic.
Amid the decline in daily cases of COVID-19 in Delhi, the number of patients under home-isolation has also significantly fallen in the last two weeks.
The number of home-isolation cases on February 1 stood at 12,312, and on February 19, it dipped to 1,721. On Sunday, it rose to 1,742.
The number of containment zones has come down to 8,283, according to official figures shared by the health department.
The surge in Covid cases in Delhi during the third wave of the pandemic was largely due to the Omicron variant of the virus which is highly transmissible.
There are 15,299 beds for Covid patients in Delhi hospitals and 251, or 1.64 per cent, of them were occupied. A total of 209 Covid patients were in hospitals, including 93 on oxygen support. Out of these 93 patients, 23 were on ventilator.

Mumbai logs 96 COVID-19 cases, lowest after April 17, 2020
Mumbai, Feb 21 (PTI) Mumbai on Monday reported 96 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest single-day rise after April 17, 2020, and one fatality due to coronavirus infection, the city civic body said.
With the addition of fresh cases, the tally of infections in Mumbai rose to 10,55,657 and the COVID-19 death toll to 16,476, a Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) bulletin said.
Generally, the city reports fewer cases on Mondays due to less number of tests conducted on Sundays.
A total of 16,476 tests were conducted in the last 24 hours, taking the count of samples tested so far in Mumbai to 1,60,45,437.
On Sunday, the city had logged 167 coronavirus cases and zero fatalities.
Around 82 per cent or 79 of fresh 96 patients are asymptomatic, it said.
The case positivity rate of Mumbai now stands at 0.58 per cent.
Presently, Mumbai has 1,415 active COVID-19 cases.
