Lok Sabha To Take Up Discussion On Ayodhya Ram Temple Today
The Lok Sabha will have a discussion on the construction of Ram temple in Ayodhya on Saturday, the last day of the Budget session of Parliament. According to a Lok Sabha Secretariat bulletin, senior BJP leader Satyapal Singh will lead the discussion on the construction of the historic Shri Ram Temple and Pran Pratishtha of Shri Ramlala.
Shrikant Shinde, a Shiv Sena member, has also called for a discussion on the issue.
The budget session of Parliament, the last of the 17th Lok Sabha, began on January 31 and will end on Saturday.
The Lok Sabha elections are expected to take place in April and May of this year.
Members of the ruling alliance are expected to praise Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ensuring the completion of the Ayodhya Ram temple following a lengthy legal battle.
BJP Issues Whip To MPs To Ensure Presence In Parliament On Saturday
The BJP issued a whip to its Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha MPs to ensure their presence in Parliament for some "very important" legislative business that will be tabled for discussion and passage.
However, no official word was given on the nature of the business, fueling speculation about the government's agenda on the final day of the session before the Lok Sabha elections.
Several party MPs expressed ignorance about the agenda.
The government has previously surprised people by introducing significant items at the last minute.
Amit Shah To Visit Karnataka Today
The Home Minister will visit Karnataka and meet with state party leaders to discuss the upcoming Lok Sabha election preparations on February 10.
Vijayendra, the Karnataka State President, stated that Shah will hold the party's Lok Sabha cluster meeting.
Speaking with reporters, Vijayendra stated, Union Minister Amit Shah
"Amit Shah will also meet with Lok Sabha ticket aspirants and candidates. There is also no confusion about the seat sharing between the BJP and the JD (S)," Vijayendra was quoted as saying by IANS. He stated that seat sharing would be decided after consulting with everyone involved.
