IMD Predicts Widespread Rain In Tamil Nadu From December 19
Rain is expected in Tamil Nadu starting on Monday, according to the regional office of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
In the state's Ramanathapuram, Nagapattinam, Cuddalore, and Pudukottai districts, it is expected to rain heavily.
On Wednesday, the meteorological service also projected severe to very heavy rain in the districts of Chengalpattu, Villupuram, Tiruvarur, Kallakurichi, and Thanjavur.
A low pressure system that formed in the southeast Bay of Bengal and the nearby Equatorial Indian Ocean is likely to bring rain to the state, with showers spreading over the whole state as a result.
All of Tamil Nadu's coastal regions could expect mild to moderate rain starting on Monday, according to the meteorological agency.
