This is his first to a foreign country since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic. India records 59,118 new Coronavirus cases in the last 24 hours, as per the Union ministry of health and family welfare. Maharashtra continued to be the epicentre of the surge, as the state recorded 35,952 new cases on Thursday, its highest since the beginning of the pandemic. India will be the 2nd ODI against England today and troubles have increased for the vistors as Eoin Morgan and Sam Billings have been ruled out of the series due to injury. Jos Buttler will captain the team in his absence.

Welcome to the ABP News LIVE for Friday, March 26, 2021: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has begun two-day visit to Bangladesh on Friday, which will be his first to a foreign country since the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Prior to his departure to Bangladesh, PM Modi said that he looks forward to having "substantive discussions" with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. He will also call on Bangladesh President Abdul Hamid during the visit.
Two people were killed after a massive fire broke out at a coronavirus hospital in Maharashtra’s Bhandup on the intervening night of Thursday and Friday. As many as 70 patients of Sunrise hospital, including those affected with Covid-19, have been shifted to another medical centre.
Farmers protesting against the 3 agricultural laws have called a 12-hour ‘Bharat Bandh’. The nationwide shutdown began at 6 am on Friday. The pan-India blockade has been called to mark the completion of four months of protests against the laws, which began on the borders of Delhi on November 26 last year.

While speaking at the National Day programme of Bangladesh, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remembered former Indian PM Indira Gandhi and said that her contribution in freedom of Bangladesh is publicly know. He also said that freedom of Bangladesh was his first struggle and he was 20-22 years old at that time.

"On the event of 50 years of Indo-Bangladesh partnership, I'd like to extend an invite to 50 entrepreneurs of Bangladesh.
