Rajasthan: Heatwave Warning Issued For Jodhpur, Bikaner Divisions On May 13-14
The meteorological service issued a heatwave warning in certain districts of Rajasthan's Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions on Friday for the next two days, with maximum temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological (MeT) Centre Jaipur, the highest temperature in the Jodhpur division touched 44 degrees Celsius on Thursday and might climb by another 1-2 degrees in the following 48 hours.
The blazing heat of the day has disrupted regular life in several sections of the state, with many having heat stroke symptoms, according to the report.
A heat wave is expected to hit much of Jodhpur and Bikaner in western Rajasthan from May 12-13, with maximum temperatures reaching 45 degrees Celsius, according to a meteorological department official.
He said that temperatures in most regions of eastern Rajasthan might range from 42 to 44 degrees Celsius during the next two days.
National Lok Adalat To Be Held On May 13
In accordance with the orders of the National Legal Service Authority (NLSA) in New Delhi, the Chhattisgarh State Legal Service Authority (CGSLSA) and the District Legal Service Authority (DLSA) in Raipur would hold a 'National Lok Adalat' to dispose of pending cases and pre-litigations. Santosh Sharma, District and Session Judge and Chairman of DLSA Raipur, told the media that the National Lok Adalat will be held on May 13 and that preparations have been finished.
Accidental claims, insurance, cheque bounce, divorce disputes, property tax, water tax, revenue tax, traffic penalty, rent control, and other issues will be heard during the Lok Adalat. A meeting with distinct departments was also convened to ensure the effective implementation of the Lok Adalat, which yielded favourable outcomes, according to the DLSA Chairman.
