AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal To Go To BJP headquarters today
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal issued a bold challenge to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday, announcing his intention, along with other AAP leaders, to visit the BJP headquarters on May 19. This move, he stated, was to facilitate Prime Minister Narendra Modi in sending whoever he desires to jail.
Speaking at a press briefing shortly after the arrest of his aide, Bibhav Kumar, in connection with an alleged assault on AAP parliamentarian Swati Maliwal, Kejriwal revealed the BJP's purported intentions. "The BJP is saying they will send AAP MP Raghav Chadha, who had just returned from the UK, and Delhi ministers Atishi and Saurabh Bharadwaj to jail too," he remarked.
Asserting the resilience of his party, Kejriwal, also the AAP national convener, declared that the AAP cannot be subdued by incarcerating its leaders. Accusing PM Modi of orchestrating a campaign to imprison AAP leaders such as Manish Sisodia, Satyendar Jain, and Sanjay Singh, Kejriwal rallied his party members for a show of strength at the BJP headquarters.
"I am coming to BJP headquarters with all my big leaders, MLAs, MPs, everyone, at 12 noon tomorrow. Whoever you want to put in jail, do so all at once," Kejriwal challenged. He expressed confidence in the AAP's resilience, stating, "You think that you will crush the Aam Aadmi Party by putting its leaders in jail, the AAP is not going to be crushed like this. You try it once and see."
