Sir Ian McKellen, the English Shakespearean actor, also known for playing various popular roles like Gandalf in 'The Lord Of The Rings' and Magneto in 'X-Men' was in India, as part of ‘Shakespeare Lives on Film’, a global programme to celebrate Shakespeare's works and influence on culture, education and society, coinciding with his 400th death anniversary. MAMI Film Club is joining hands with the British Council, the BFI, GREAT, NCPA and Fountainhead MKTG to bring the programme to India. (All pictures - Solaris)

As a part of the programme, he was in conversation with Aamir Khan at the National Centre for Performing Arts in South Mumbai on 23rd May, 2016. This also marked the debut of the MAMI Film Club.
