Mangoes, also known as the "King of Fruits," have long been admired for their juicy and delectable taste. The Miyazaki mango, named after the Japanese city where it was first grown, has made waves in the international market due to its exorbitant price tag of around Rs 2.75 lakh per kilogramme. 

This information was obtained from a recent report by the news agency ANI, which highlighted the world's most expensive mango.

The 7th edition of the Mango Festival took place in Siliguri, a bustling city in West Bengal, India, on June 9 at a local mall. The festival, which was organised by Modella Caretaker Centre & School (MCCS) in collaboration with the Association for Conservation & Tourism (ACT), aimed to celebrate the diverse range of mango varieties. At the event, over 262 different types of mangoes were proudly displayed, demonstrating the rich heritage of this tropical fruit.

The Miyazaki mango was unquestionably the star of the Mango Festival. With its unrivalled price and reputation, this rare fruit took centre stage and left visitors speechless. Its presence added a touch of luxury to the festivities, attracting crowds eager to see this incredible gastronomic treasure.

The Miyazaki mango is distinguished not only by its high price but also by its exceptional flavour. This variety, known for its high sugar content of 15% or higher, promises a sensory experience unlike any other.
