New Delhi: Natya Tarangini, the performing arts centre in New Delhi, will be celebrating its silver jubilee as well as ‘India@75- Aazadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ over the two weekends in November, starting this week.

The performing arts centre will organise a hybrid dance and music festival in collaboration with the United Nations (UN) as a part of their Parampara Series.

Natya Tarangini was established in 1976 by renowned dancing couple Padmabhsuhans Dr Raja Radha Reddy and Dr Kaushalya Reddy, to preserve and promote Indian music and dance.

Every year, the performing arts centre organises a concert for dignitaries to come together and perform.

This year, it will be presenting nationally and internationally reputed artists in a ‘Jugalbandi Concerts’ over two weekends dating from November 12-14 and 19-21, 2021.

In 2020, the event was shifted to a virtual platform because of the pandemic. Natya Tarangini collaborated with the UN and the performances were live-streamed on the youtube channels of the UN and Raja Radha Reddy.

“2020 brought upon the performing artists in India tough times, this festival is our attempt to bring back the arts sector on its feet. We have a long way to go, therefore we request your support as we persevere in these hard times,” stated the press release by Natya Tarangini.

This year, the festival will take place in a hybrid form with a limited audience in the outdoor amphitheatre ‘Raja Radha Rangmanch’ in New Delhi along with the live streams on the youtube channel of the UN and Raja Radha Reddy, and the Facebook page of raja Radha Reddy and Natya Tarangini.
