We now see a lot of transformable furniture, for eg. something like a sofa one minute and bed the other, which is a great way to save space. In addition, keeping your home decluttered brings in positive vibes too.

Celebrity Designer & Founder of India Circus Krsnaa Mehta suggested some ideas how you can make your small space look interesting.

  • Change your Kitchen, by adding wallpapers and playful tiles to make it aesthetic. Don’t stock up loads of containers as it just occupies space and is barely ever used. Choose more sustainable options like lunch boxes.
  • Accent one of the walls in your living room. It adds character to your space. There are numerous ways to accent your wall- DIY-ing helps, wallpapers are another way, colouring it different works too. 
  • Add wall art that fills up the space on the walls. We just have to be extremely careful while choosing decor pieces as we do not want a lot of them or else our home will end up looking cluttered. Oversized wall art makes the wall look bigger.
  • Use fashionable curtains. Ee may wonder what curtains have to do with decoration? They are in fact one of the easiest ways to seamlessly create different styles. 
  • Rugs paired makes your floor more appealing. The idea is to create a home that is comfortable and cosy to everyone and rugs do just that in addition to protecting your floors.
  • Use mirrors and place them in such a way so that it perfectly adds more natural lights and also creates an illusion of more space. Mirrors also make a great substitute to wall arts and decor. You can pair different sizes of mirror and create a beautiful mosaic.
  • Adding tall plants can add a sense of softness to your space and green creates a serenity. You can use the vertical space for hanging your plants too.
