Gurgaon: Engineer tries to commit suicide, posts pics & video on Facebook!

New Delhi: A 42-year old engineer of a leading IT firm tried to commit suicide and posted pictures of his slit wrist and a recorded video announcing the act. On Facebook, he also posted the text of a suicide note. Varun Malik works as a quality lead in Udyog Vihar office of Nagarro Software Private Ltd. On Tuesday at 10 am, he posted the message ‘End’ followed by two pictures of his slit left wrist and blood drops on his Facebook timeline. He also shared a recorded video and a message, “...I am ending my life because of my internal struggle. I hold no one responsible for it. I have bore the burden for long”. Image: Facebook Image: Facebook At that time, he was at his home in Karamyogi apartment in Gurgaon’s Sector 10A area. Varun, unmarried lives with his paralysed father SP Malik and brother, a doctor. Soon after the posts were shared on Facebook, his friends shared SOS message calling for help. By the time cops reached his home, his doctor brother had already taken him to a nearby hospital. He is undergoing treatment. Since Varun was unfit, no statement recorded by the police. Later, at 3 pm, the posts that Varun had shared were removed from his Facebook wall. According to the cops Varun had been upset after his mother expired a year ago. She had donated her kidneys to Varun.
