Divita Rai From Karnataka Becomes Miss Diva Universe 2022

New Delhi: Divita Rai from Karnataka was crowned the new Miss Diva Universe 2022. The 23-year-old was felicitated at a star-studded ceremony. The 2021 Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu crowned Divita Rai at the Miss Diva pageant which is currently celebrating its 10th anniversary. The official Instagram handle of Miss Universe shared a video of the moment when Harnaaz presented the crown to her successor Divita Rai. Scroll below to have a look at the video.

In the video, Divita is seen standing next to Harnaaz who first kisses the Miss Universe crown before presenting it to Divita. Thereafter, the two beauties walked the stage. Divita was dressed in a pink halter-neck gown while Harnaaz wore a burgundy shimmer gown.
"It feels crazy. I finally have this [crown] on my head. It is unbelievable, I really have no words. It's crazy," the Miss Diva Universe 2022 Divita shared her excitement in a video shared by the page's official Instagram handle.

Divita Rai happens to be an architect and model by profession. She also enjoys sports like basketball, badminton, painting, listening to music and reading. At the 71st Miss Universe pageant, Rai will now be representing India after her big win where Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the winner last year.
At the Miss Diva Universe 2022 pageant, former beauty queens and celebs like Lara Dutta, Miss Universe 2000, Meher Castelino, Miss India 1964, Sangeeta Bilani, Miss India 1980 and Tanushree Dutta, Miss India Universe 2004 were also present.
Pragnya Ayyagari of Telangana was declared Miss Diva Supranational 2022 at the Miss Diva pageant.
Miss Diva is part of Femina Miss India pageant that selects India's representtaives to Miss Universe, one of the big four international beauty poagents.
