Yes, today we are going to share the story of Gurpreet Singh Tikku, who is a food influencer with a huge follower base. He is also the founder of Mr. Tikku and has recently been awarded the 'Food Influencer Of The Year 2022'

"I love to go to places that are in existence for many many years. I love to go to places that offer unique food, places where the owner still sits are where I like to go. I love places that invoke nostalgia, and emotions or are doing something new.", said Gurpreet.
All About His Favourite Cuisine:
When it's a food influencer we are discussing, let's begin with the food itself!
Talking about the kind of relationship one must have with food, Gurpreet said, "Food is what we eat at least thrice a Day. Food is a mood uplifter. Stale or uncooked food can cause health problems, and it has been proved that even cooking is one kind of therapy. Hence one needs to respect food and have a very good relationship with food. Good Food is Good Mood"
Following this, he also shared what his go-to comfort food is, saying, "Its Butter Chicken With Butter Naan, Biryani, Chole Bhature, Maggi and Rajma Chawal."
Next, he shared his favourite cuisine with ABP Live and said, "Apart from what we eat regularly i.e. the North Indian Food, my next favourite will be Chinese. Also because we have been eating it since childhood, hence a bit of nostalgia is also attached to it and also because it’s different, wholesome and with many variations."

People have a lot of impression regarding food influencers. Some believe that they get free food, while others believe that they eat outside every day. Gurpreet shared the reaction of his family and friends when they got to know about his profession.
He said, "With time people have developed lots of extreme reactions towards food bloggers, but then that's part of life. You can’t please everybody, more so when you are showcasing your daily life or meals with them. Each one would have their own opinions. What really matters is how comfortable are you doing what you are doing."
Some Go-To Places For Your Favourites:
Street food is something which we all love. Be it the chaats, paani puri or pav bhaji, the variety is endless. A day dedicated to shopping is incomplete without hungrily gobbling up street food afterwards. Similarly, Gurpreet is also fond of street food and shared that his favourite one is Bhature Chole and Chaat.
He also shared that he often eats outside, either for leisure or for work. Talking about some of his favourites, her said the best place for Non-veg food is "Ikk Panjab", while the ideal places for lip-smacking chole bhature and butter chicken are "Nand di Hatti for Chole Bhature, Ikk Panjab for Butter Chicken.". Lastly, he also shared where to go, if you have to enjoy lip-smacking paani puri saying, "It is Sindhi Corner in Karol Bagh, Odeon Sweets Near CP."

Veganism And Weird Food Combinations:
Nowadays, many people are opting for vegan food, and discussing how much suitable it is, Gurpreet said, "It is according to an individual. With growing awareness/exposure because of the Internet, people are experimenting with many things, and veganism is one of those. It shall keep evolving in times to come and you shall see more people adopting this lifestyle."
Social media makes a lot of weird things possible, especially when it comes to food. Experimenting with food is one thing, but weird food reels like Fanta Maggie, and dosa sambhar ice cream, are another! Talking about these, Gurpreet said, "These are short-term experiments that sometimes eatery owners do or sometimes food vloggers make them do. Sometimes for eyeballs, sometimes for Views."
"However let me add, some of these experiments taste good, just some. Like Dahi Jalebi may sound weird in Delhi, but it's a staple dish. Bun Jamun may sound odd to us, but is being sold successfully for the last 30 years in Kasauli.", he further added.
Gurpreet also said, "In addition to food bloggers, nowadays, I see the vendors playing this game well. They have realised that odd behaviour, odd dishes get them eyeballs, makes them “Popoular” and eventually helps them make more money."
