Beyond The Screen| Mrunal Panchal On Collaborating With Selena Gomez: I was really shivering when I Met Her, It Feels Surreal Even Now
Mrunal told ABP Live that she was always a fan of Selena and she used to watch her on television. So, from watching her behind the screen to working with her, it all seemed surreal to her.
New Delhi: Instagram Influencer Mrunal Panchal is known for her makeup tutorial videos and she recently shot a reel with none other than Selena Gomez! The reel was regarding the promotion of Selena's makeup brand 'Rare Beauty'. 'Rare Beauty New York' featured the debut of its new cosmetic products, and the event gathered talented makeup artists from all around the world, with Mrunal Panchal representing India.
Speaking of Mrunal, she has a huge follower base on Instagram with over 4.8M followers, for her unique style of makeup as well as for her creativity and innovation. In this regard, ABP Live spoke to her over email where she spoke about her collaboration with Selena and also shared her journey.
Mrunal told that she was always a fan of Selena and she used to watch her on television. So, from watching her behind the screen to working with her, it all seemed surreal to her.
She said, "It is a most favourite memory of mine and is the best fan moment anybody could ever get. I started watching TV with Selena and then, there I was standing with her. It feels surreal even now, and also motivates me to do much more in life."
All About The Collaboration With Selena Gomez:
Talking about how she got the opportunity to collab with Selena, Mrunal shared, "I really love Selena, and her products are also amazing. So, I started making content using products from 'Rare Beauty New York'. That is when they spotted me on social media and they seemed to love my work. Following this, I got a chance to collab with her."
"It was just a dream comes true. I was really shivering when I met her, but she made me comfortable and it never looked like I am her fan. She made everybody look comfortable at the event.", Mrunal further added.
Mrunal indeed had her dream-come-true moment in New York, where the shoot took place and all her fans and followers were extremely proud of her. She said that everybody in India was really awestruck after watching the reel.
"Nobody in India has ever achieved such a thing, that is to meet Selena, and thanks to my work, because of which I got to meet her. So, that was a very overwhelming situation for me."
Selena is an international star and has millions of fans who love and admire her. But, not all of them are as lucky as Mrunal to get a chance to meet her in person and interact with her. From being a fan girl to getting to know her in person, Mrunal was all in praise of Selena. She said, "Her genuine behaviour, her liveness which she put across on social media is what people love about her. She has a lot of followers on Instagram and is loved so much maybe because she doesn't fake at all. She is what she is, even on social media."
Talking about the reel, Mrunal shared the "filmy" video with the caption, "Had to do something filmy with her. ab naa rhe juda hum do ! Selena Gomez. Also, the soft pinch-tinted lip oils are BOMB AF !"

Mrunal Panchal And Her Journey As An Influencer:
Mrunal Panchal hails from Gujarat and she rose to fame from TikTok, after which she gradually became known for her fashion sense and her makeup. But, every influencer has their own journey. Speaking of Mrunal, she told that her hunger to learn and make content motivated her to start as an influencer.
"I used to love makeup from the start when my mom used to do it and to be very honest I never learned make-up tips. I kept on trying different things on myself and got the hang of it. So, while planning a look, I actually go with the flow. First I complete my homework, do lots of research and then I add my fusion touch.", Mrunal shared with ABP Live.
She then spoke about her favourite make-up look and said, "I can't really choose because all are dear to me and all have been from a certain perspective of my mood"
Mrunal is in a relationship with TikTok star Anirudh Sharma who she met on social media. She added that both of them were social media influencers and gradually, they started talking to each other using the platform.
Speaking of their work, she also added, "We both support each other to do more and more in life. This is how you can keep your relationship healthy by making your better half feel motivated"
Mrunal also shared how Anirudh reacted when she collaborated with Selena, saying, "He was really supportive. He knew that I would do wonders. Ani always keep motivating me with that and yes, he was a really supportive pillar behind my achievements"
Interestingly, the lyrics of the background score which was added to the reel were written by her boyfriend Anirudh, who, along with being a content creator, is a musician also. The two of them have often collaborated for reels and the audience loves watching them.
