After Freedom 251, another Indian company launches android phone for Rs 888

New Delhi: After Freedom 251, in India, here is another attempt at offering the cheapest possible smartphone. Docoss, a Jaipur-based company has announced an Android-powered smartphone. Priced? Just Rs 888. The smartphone, called Docoss X1 has made a silent entry, unlike Freedom 251's launch which was a grand affair. A website has been just setup by the company and is taking pre-orders for the smartphone. They are promising delivery date May 2 and cash on delivery facility. The Docoss' website asks buyers to book the smartphone via an SMS. Interestingly, even a real photograph of the phone is not there and there is also very little information about the company on the website. A 4-inch screen, 1.2GHz dual-core Cortex A7 processor with 1GB and 4GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 32GB, are some of its specifications. It runs Android KitKat and is powered by a 1,300mAh battery along with a 2MP rear and VGA front camera. The cell is dual SIM, 3G smartphone.
