Two ways to work in Parliament, talk out or walk out: Venkaiah Naidu

New Delhi [India], Aug 12 (ANI): Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday said there are only two ways to work in the Parliament, either talk out or walk out but no "break out."

"There are only two ways to work in Parliament, you either talk out or you walk out, no break out otherwise democracy will be all out," Naidu said.

He then said that while opposition must have its say, the government should have its way too.

"Opposition must have its say but in the end, the government must have its way, as it is elected by people," he added.

Naidu, who completed one year in office on Saturday, described the period as 'effective engagement' with different stakeholders with a focus on students and youth, farmers, science and research and culture through extensive visits across the country.

Naidu has visited 28 of the 29 States in the country during this one-year period. He also undertook his sole foreign visit to three Latin American countries of Guatemala, Panama, and Peru in May. (ANI)
