Nowgam ceasefire violation: One jawan succumbs to his injuries

Nowgam (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], July 18 (ANI): An Army Jawan who got critically injured in firing along LoC in Jammu and Kashmir's Nowgam sector, on Tuesday succumbed to his injuries.

Pakistan Army earlier today initiated unprovoked and indiscriminate firing of small arms, automatics and mortars from in stste's Naushera sector along the Line of Control (LoC).

Pakistan also violated ceasefire in Bhimber Gali and Poonch Sector of the state today.

Yesterday, Commandant-Wing Cadre level flag meeting was held between India's Border Security Force (BSF) and Pakistan Rangers on international boundary in the Samba area of Jammu and Kashmir.

In the meeting which was convened upon on Pakistan's request, the commanders of both the border guarding forces discussed various issues including recent unprovoked firing in Samba sector and other routine issues related to border management. (ANI)
