HP Assembly polls will witness BJP's Tsunami: Amit Shah

Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], November 1 (ANI): Affirming victory in the upcoming Assembly elections in Himachal Pradesh, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah on Wednesday said the 'party's Tsunami' will dethrone the incumbent Congress in the state.

Addressing a public rally here, the BJP chief said, "Rahul baba, the writing is on the wall. The BJP is coming to power in Himachal Pradesh. Looking at the rally today I can confidently say that there is a BJP Tsunami in Himachal and it's not just a wave".

He added once the BJP comes to power in Himachal, growth and development will touch new heights.

"I appeal to the people of Himachal to make BJP win with such huge majority that it remains in power for the next 20 years. The fluctuation in the Himachal Government with Congress and BJP coming in power back to back has slowed down development of the state," the BJP chief said.

He asserted: "Since 2014, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP's success has now reached Himachal. If Congress continues to rule the state, then only corruption can be witnessed."

Shah on Tuesday announced former Chief Minister and Leader of Opposition in Himachal Assembly Prem Kumar Dhumal as party's chief ministerial candidate.

The polling of the 68-member Himachal Pradesh Assembly is on November 9 and the results will be declared on December 18. (ANI)
