Bandh called in Alappuzha following clashes

Alappuzha (Kerala) [India], Feb 18 (ANI): A bandh was called in Alappuzha on Sunday, by Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) and Kerala Students Union (KSU), following clashes between members of the two groups.

Clashes broke out on Saturday as the two groups alleged each other of destroying their flags and festoons during a march.

Several people sustained injuries during the clash and many vehicles were damaged, prompting the Police to resort to lathi-charge in order to disperse them. (ANI)
