Read on to find out the release date and other details on Call of Duty’s next mobile game, and more.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile release date, pre-registration rewards

First things first, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile is set to release in 2023 on Android and iOS. Pre-registrations are live now, with several milestones announced by Activision. Upon reaching 5 million pre-registrations, players will be rewarded with a special Dark Familiar emblem and Foe’s Flame vinyl. With 10 million pre-registrations, players will be rewarded with the Prince of Hell blueprint for the X12 handgun. For starters, Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will bring cross-progression via a shared Battle Pass. Franchise veterans will be greeted with the familiar map of Verdansk at launch. The newly announced Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 map, Al Mazrah, is slated to be added “in the future”. Also, just like in Warzone, felled players will get a chance to get back into the action after emerging victorious in a 1-on-1 faceoff against an enemy in the now-iconic Gulag.

Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will have a plethora of vehicles and aircraft to romp around in, along with Buy Stations scattered throughout the map to spend your hard-earned cash on items such as Field Upgrades, Revive Tokens, Killstreaks, and more. Players can also take on Contracts, which are essentially mini-missions to win rare loot, in-game Cash, and more.

Weapons and Operators will be shared across Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, to enable a truly cross-platform experience.

And of course, a Call of Duty game feels incomplete without getting into a verbal skirmish with your friends via online chat channels. Warzone Mobile will have enough of that, and more.

Lastly, to add to that massive multiplayer feel, Warzone Mobile will allow up to 120 players to engage in combat at the same time.

Arguably the most popular feature in any new Call of Duty game, Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer will introduce several new features that would offer new ways to take out enemies to series veterans and newbies alike.

Earlier, if you fell into the ocean on the Verdansk map, you’d die immediately. That’s about to change with Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer, which will allow Operators to swim through water, tackle environmental elements such as currents and rapids, and most importantly, take out rivals underwater thanks to new combat mechanics.

When it came to ledges, players earlier could only climb or mantle one. On Modern Warfare 2, players can now hang from ledges, raising your head enough to look around and quickly take out a handgun to take out unsuspecting enemies, all while free-hanging from a ledge.

You can now deflate vehicle tires to slow them down, and if you feel wild enough, lean out of a vehicle window for quick drive-by shootouts. You will have nine land-based and two aerial vehicles to traverse or take out enemies in, including new tactical vehicles and a Heavy Chopper.

Among tactical and field upgrades, players will have new toys to play with, including a new tactical camera, shock stick, drill charge, and a DDoS attack that temporarily deactivates vehicles or enemy sensors.

As an exciting new feature, Operators can now deploy an inflatable dummy that resembles an enemy combatant to distract foes, and also act as a proximity mine when needed. We expect players to have some fun kills with the new dummy.

Players can engage in 32v32 Battle Maps or 6v6 Core Maps during team matchups. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer will also introduce three new modes.
The first, Knockout, will offer no respawns as Operators must hold a package or take out opponents to win. The Prisoner Rescue mode, as the name suggests, will offer a hostage extraction matchup. The Invasion (Ground War) mode is nothing short of an all-out battle where players and AI will fight alongside each other and against each other as well. The rule is simple — kill or be killed.

Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer will also offer a new third-person perspective in certain scenarios to offer players a better understanding of their surroundings.

As mentioned earlier, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Multiplayer is now available in open beta, with an official release set for October 28.

Lastly, a new map, Al Mazrah, will be introduced to Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 on November 16.
