Watch: Priyanka Chopra Makes Surprise Visit To Mumbai, Fans Say 'Are Ambanis Getting Married Again?

Priyanka Chopra is back in Mumbai, a month after attending the grand wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant.

New Delhi: Priyanka Chopra unexpectedly travelled to Mumbai in the early hours of Friday (August 23), a month after witnessing the prestigious wedding of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant at the Jio World Convention Centre with her husband, Nick Jonas. According to paparazzi reports, there are rumours indicating that the international celebrity is now present in the city for film promotion.

Priyanka Chopra garnered attention at the airport with her stylish all-white outfit, consisting of a crop top and a co-ord set. She wore a floral track pants and a matching flowing shrug. She completed her look with a cute cap and white trainers. 

The video of her arrival is circulating on various social media platforms, where she can be seen at the international airport. She acknowledged photographers with a kind smile and gesture, before proceeding towards her car.

Speculation arose among fans on her motives for returning to India, with some wondering if she may begin work on the highly awaited film ‘Jee Le Zaraa’. 

One observer commented on her coming alone, stating, “Malti isn’t with her, so she must be here just briefly. New project, maybe?” A fan also joked, “Are the Ambanis getting married again?”

Promoting Marathi Film 

However, it seems that Priyanka's visit is mostly intended to promote her Marathi film ‘Paani’, which is scheduled to be released in theatres on October 18. 

Priyanka recently revealed the motion poster for ‘Paani’ on Instagram, expressing her enthusiasm for the project. The film, directed by Adinath Kothare, depicts the journey of an average individual from Nagderwadi, a hamlet in Nanded suffering from drought. The protagonist faces challenges in his quest to make the area self-reliant in terms of water supply. ‘Paani’, which was first released in 2019, received the prestigious National Film Award for Best Film on Environment Conservation.

The movie is created by Priyanka and her mother Madhu Chopra via their production company Purple Pebble Pictures, in partnership with Rajshri Entertainment. It showcases a skilled ensemble cast consisting of Subodh Bhave, Kishore Kadam, Adinath Kothare, and Rucha Vaidya.
