Vivek Dahiya's 'Kawach' gets an EXTENSION!

New Delhi: Here comes a good news for Vivek Dahiya and Mona Singh fans. According to the reports, the supernatural show which was all set to go off-air in October has got an extension. The channel has granted seven-month extension to the show. The much-awaited show 'Naagin 2' will go on-air in its old slot of 8 PM while Kawach will be telecast at 7 PM slot on weekends, which means TV soap czarina Ekta Kapoor will manage the 7-8 PM slot of leading channel Colors. Talking about the extension, Ekta Kapoor told leading portal TOI, "Kawach' has been an interesting journey for us. It is our first show, which focuses on exorcism as its core concept. The trend of stories based on popular myths and supernatural themes continues to reign on television, and 'Kawach's' success and extension bear testimony of this fact. Even as 'Naagin Season 2' prepares for its high-decibel launch, we are delighted to be able to develop Paridhi and Rajbir's story further." Lead actress Mona Singh who portrays the character of Paridhi also shared her excitement over the extension and said that it is encouraging as the show has been loved by viewers. 'Kawach' has proven to be a landmark show in her resume.
