'Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah' sets a new record

New Delhi: A sitcom ‘Tarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has reached the milestone by completing 2000 episodes. After finishing its 8th year the show’s name has entered in the ‘’Limca Book of World Records.’’ Everyone’s favourite show was first aired on 28th July, 2008. The show has already been named as ‘’Longest Running Show ‘’ on television. The cast and crew of  are on seventh heaven. The comedy involves the usual problems of a family and the society in their daily lives. When such huge benchmark is crossed then a celebration becomes necessary. The family of TMKOC was totally onto it. Take a look: ‘Bollywood Life’ quoted,  Dilip Joshi who plays Jethalal Gada said, “It’s such a surreal experience. Today when I got up in the morning and I realized it is 28th of July 2016 and I remember the day when the first episode was about to be aired, we were hoping that it works out. I never thought it would go on for so long. 2000 episodes for a comedy show is a big thing.” ‘’It hasn’t been a cakewalk to play Jethalal and the challenge lies in the fact that there’s no similarity between the real me and Jethalal. I am a completely different person in real life and probably, the only similarity lies in the fact that both of us believe in living happily, without harming anyone. This show has really been a life-changing experience and it is an incredible achievement to have completed so many episodes’’, he added. The show is all set for the 9th year and it continues….
