New Delhi: Sony SAB’s ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’ has been winning hearts of the viewers, all thanks to its rib-tickling episodes. The popular sitcom will complete eleven successful years on July 28, 2019. The characters of the show, be it Jethalal or Dayaben, have their own significant fan following. Disha Vakani, who plays the role of Dayaben, went on a maternity break in September 2017 and hasn’t returned back to the show yet. Speculations were rife that Disha Vakani would make a comeback and resume shooting in May. However, that didn’t happen, leaving the fans upset. Ardent viewers of the show are eagerly waiting for her return and they have flooded Disha’s Instagram posts with their messages. It was said that the production house and the actress couldn’t reach an agreement. Neela Telefilms didn’t agree to the demands put forward by Disha Vakani and the team began casting for new Dayaben. Gossip mills were buzzing with the rumours that Disha won’t return back to ‘Taarak Mehta’.

As per the latest buzz, the makers of the show have put the casting for new Dayaben on hold. A report in an entertainment portal has suggested that the makers are in no hurry to bring back Dayaben in the show. They are also looking for an actress, who can play the role with perfection. The team is inviting known actors and fresh faces for the audition, the report in Tellychakkar said. The report further said that the makers are planning to celebrate 11 years of the show with a grand celebration.
