Star Plus to put 'Diya Aur baati Hum 2' on hold?

New Delhi: The much awaited sequel of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum' has not hit the TV screens yet but it has surrounded itself in hullabaloo. Well, producers of the show believed that they gave number one show to Star Plus for long time and that is why they deserve better prime time slot. According to the reports of ABP News' Saas Bahu Aur Saazish, pilot shoot of 'Diya Aur Baati Hum 2' has been approved, channel  liked the new characters as well as storyline of the show. But there is a major rift between channel and the producers over its time slot. If reports are to be believed, producers doesn't want the second season to put on hold on the other hand Channel has decided to not telecast it for couple of  months. But due to the drastic fall in TRPs, the makers decided to shut it down. TV actor Avinesh Rekhi who rose to fame with his grey character in popular show ‘Bharat Ka Veer Putra-Maharana Pratap’ is all set make a comeback on small screens with ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum 2’. The actor has been roped in by the makers to play the lead role in the upcoming show. TV actor Kabeer Kumar who played the lead role in ‘Tum Hi Ho Bandu Sakha Tumhi’ and debutant Mayank Arora will portray the character of Sooraj (Anas) and Sandhya’s (Deepika Singh) sons. Top TV actress Niti Taylor can also be seen as Sooraj and Sandhya’s daughter ‘Khanak’ in the show.
