Rajat Tokas dons royal avatar, returns as Chandragupta Maurya on small screen

New Delhi: The first look of Rajat Tokas for Ekta Kapoor's upcoming show 'Chandranandini' has been unveiled. The actor who will portray the character of Mauryan samrat 'Chandragupta Maurya' is looking outstanding in royal attire. Check out his first look here:  Rajat Tokas dons royal avatar, returns as Chandragupta Maurya on small screen Few days back, makers of the upcoming show had unveiled the look of lead actress Shweta Basu Prasad, who will be seen as princess Nandini. Shweta Basu Prasad, aka little Shruti of ‘Kahaani Ghar Ghar Ki’  is all set return on small screen with a full-fledged Ekta Kapoor’s show. Shweta-Basu-Prasad-1024x628 The actress was mired in controversy over a year ago for her involvement in prostitution racket in Hyderabad , however was later given a clean chit by the sessions court. It had been reported that the upcoming show “Chandra-Nandni” will not be shot in cramped TV sets, but at real locations. The actors will be shooting in areas of Patna where Magadh and Pataliputra used to exist. “Ekta Kapoor is bringing her most prestigious project till date. And when she is so closely involved in every aspect of the show’s creative aspect, you can expect nothing better than the best,” said a source close to the show developers. The show will beam on Star Plus this October and it will replace 'Humko Tumse Ho Gaya Hai pyaar Kya Kare' . Earlier, it had been rumoured that the show will take the 8:00 PM slot of mythological show 'Siya Ke Ram' but now it has got an extension.
