Pearl V Puri starts shooting for 'Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha'

Mumbai: Actor Pearl V Puri, best known for his roles in shows like "Phir Bhi Na Maane...Badtameez Dil" and "Meri Saasu Maa", will play the lead role of Arjun in the popular TV show "Nagarjun - Ek Yoddha". Actor Anshuman Malhotra was earlier playing the role. He was seen as young Arjun, who is on his way to become a superhero. For the second phase of the show, which will start from October 3, the makers required a more mature looking actor for the role of Arjun. "There are many ‘Naagins' on TV but I am the only ‘Nagarjun' and will be the only one. I have been wanting to play a superhero since my childhood days, but what I've now realised is that what is meant to happen will happen as my casting for the role of Arjun happened overnight, that too when it was least expected," Pearl said in a statement. The Life OK show also features Nikitin Dheer and Pooja Banerjee.
