Actress Payal Rohatgi recently made an emotional appeal to her followers, sharing that her father is currently fighting prostate cancer. In a heartfelt message, Payal opened up about his health struggles and the financial challenges her family is facing, asking for support and donations.

Payal's note on social media

On Wednesday, she posted a detailed note on Instagram, explaining, “After a lot of thought, I’ve decided to share this on my social media. In our country, medical treatments are very costly, and most middle-class families have limited financial resources. My father believed he would receive reimbursement from his medical insurance, for which he pays premiums every year, but unfortunately, he hasn't received any. It's disheartening that despite paying so much for senior citizen insurance, these genuine medical expenses aren’t being covered.”

She continued, “My father has requested me to share this on social media, and I’m doing so in the hopes of connecting with people through this platform.”

Payal went on to provide details about her father’s medical condition, stating, “My father, a senior citizen, has been battling prostate cancer since 2018, COPD (shrinking lungs) since 2006, and severe osteoporosis since 2008. We need crowd funding for his treatment. I kindly ask my fans and followers to donate generously to the account details provided below. I’ve also attached some of his medical reports and can share the entire medical file via email if needed.”
