Hina Khan On Boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal’s Support During Cancer Journey: ‘Nazar Na Lage’

In June last year, Hina Khan shocked fans by revealing on social media that she had been diagnosed with stage-three breast cancer. Over the past few months, she has been sharing updates on her chemotherapy journey, keeping her followers informed about her progress. Ahead of the release of her upcoming series, Griha Laxmi—her first project after the diagnosis—Hina opened up to News18 Showsha. “I’m good, getting better. I’m recovering," she shared.

Despite this challenging health battle, Hina continued working, attending events, and walking the ramp. She attributes this resilience to her inner strength and the unwavering support of her loved ones. “I’m a very strong person. I’ve to pat myself on the back for this. I’m also very responsible. I’ve been like this throughout the ups and downs in my life, including the time when my dad passed away. But at the same time, I think your family and loved ones play a very important part," she explained.

On Her Relationship With Boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal
Speaking about her long-time boyfriend Rocky Jaiswal, Hina became emotional. Reflecting on his family’s role, she said, “I get the strength from the people – my partner Rocky, my mother, my brother, my cousins, and Rocky’s family – around me. I’ve so much love around me. Touch wood! Alhamdulillah, nazar na lage. That love keeps me going. It has really, really helped me reach where I’m today. I also can’t even begin to tell you how much my admirers’ wishes have meant to me, especially, in this journey."
For those unaware, Hina and Rocky first met in 2009 on the sets of her debut television show Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, where he worked as the supervising producer. Their friendship blossomed into love, and during Bigg Boss 11, Rocky’s proposal to Hina on the show won many hearts. Throughout her cancer journey, he has been a constant source of strength, publicly voicing his support for her.
Recently, Hina posted a heartfelt picture from their vacation in the Maldives, where she rested her head on Rocky’s shoulder. Captioning the post, she wrote, “Through thick and thin..We will get through this… Yes, we will… InshaAllah," expressing her gratitude for having him in her life.
On Griha Laxmi
As Hina now anticipates the release of Griha Laxmi, she noted that its launch had been delayed due to her diagnosis but now aligns perfectly with her recovery journey. She clarified, however, that this timing was unintentional.
“It was supposed to release a while back in October last year but they couldn’t because of my health. Kehta hai na ki upar waala sab kuch plan karke rakhte hain. None of this was planned. We weren’t waiting to start the promotions of Griha Laxmi and release it after my diagnosis. But now that this is happening, people are relating my character to my real-life personality even more," Hina remarked.
