Gurucharan Singh Missing Case: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh, aka Sodhi from the popular TV show, likely “planned” the disappearance. 

Gurucharan Singh Missing Case: Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah actor Gurucharan Singh, aka Sodhi from the popular TV show, has been missing for almost two weeks. Based on a complaint lodged by Gurucharan's father, the police has registered an abduction case. As per recent reports, the actor likely “planned” the disappearance.

According to police sources who spoke to News18, Gurucharan Singh "moved out of" Delhi. The actor left his phone in the Palam area.  

News18 quoted Delhi police sources as saying, “He left his phone in the Palam area. We are trying to find but it only makes it more difficult for us to trace Gurucharan Singh, because this means that the phone is not with the actor. In the CCTV footage we recovered that he was seen moving from one e-rickshaw to another. Looks like, he had planned everything and has moved out of Delhi.”

For those who don't know, Gurucharan Singh went missing on April 22 evening. The actor’s father filed a missing complaint, which stated, “My son Gurucharan Singh, Age: 50 years, had left at 8:30 am on 22nd April to go to Mumbai. He went to the airport to catch a flight. He didn’t reach Mumbai, neither has he returned home and his phone is not reachable. He is mentally stable and we had been searching for him but now he has been missing.”

About Gurucharan Singh missing case

A few days after the incident, a team from the Delhi Police Special Cell who were investigating the disappearance of the actor visited Gurucharan's home. An FIR under Section 365 (abduction) has been filed by the Delhi police. As seen in a CCTV footage, the police had said that he was last spotted on 22 April near the Delhi airport carrying a backpack. 

Who is Gurucharan Singh?

Gurcharan Singh gained fame after playing the role of Roshan Singh Sodhi in the popular show ‘Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah’. After a long stint, Gurcharan left the show in 2013 but returned the next year. Later, he again left the show in 2020. Roshan Singh Sodhi's character is now played by actor Balwinder Singh Suri.
