'Diya Aur Baati Hum' to end on sad note

Mumbai: “Diya Aur Baati Hum” - which narrates the story of Sandhya and Sooraj -- will end on a sad note, according to a source aware of the developments. The makers are said to be considering showing lead pair Deepika Singh and Anas Rashid as dead in the end. This is one angle that is being looked at, the source added. "Audiences may not be able to accept their favourite Sandhya and Sooraj dying at the end but then since there is a season two in the offing, there can be further developments,” explained the insider. In its fifth year of telecast, the show witnessed various ups and downs in the lives of its lead pair Sandhya and Sooraj. It is aired on Star Plus, and will go off air in September. It is about a loving husband who helps his ambitious wife achieve her dreams of becoming an IPS officer.
